Thanks to Hannah Castle Rock has an apothecary, and it's truly a gift to this town. I can't praise her enough for this happening. It's in the same building as True Appearances, entrance right next door, Wildmoon Alchemy. I highly recommend a visit, a place to find unique herbs and gifts, create your own tea blends or get one that Hannah has especially put together. It's a shop dedicated to sharing environmentally friendly products, and does the refill thing :D. Sharing other local artisans and local CBD products, highest quality essential oil from Savitur Botanicals, rocks with special frequencies and an excellent atmosphere to pa-rouse.
I think this time in history demands freedom of self expression, while remaining compassionate to mother nature, our specialty. In a time of great fear i think it emanate to pause and become centered in self and how that is expressed in our lives. here are some recent images of beautiful hairlove created at True Appearances. One is on the fun more colorfully expressive side and show cases a external bravery of living boldly in fun colors and the other is very natural liking while providing a lift to the over all appearances that will remain classic for years to come.
We threw a New Year's Eve party at the Spalon (Spa & Salon). A great many things to be grateful for! There's truly something about not focusing on what one doesn't want. Then realizing what one is focusing on... then thinking about what we are truly grateful for... I wanna tangent and spiral off, so many nuances... alas, focus, lol. True Appearances as a collective is a material dream come true : ) Working with others that are deeply caring, compassionate, and loving is more then words can quantify.
Sharing the notion that what we do and how we live our lives is creating the future. The individuals i'm working with inspire me by the fire in their hearts and the loving lives they lead. In a world of never ending uncertainty building oasis is an on going task, while still enjoying it's fruits. Challenging our mindset and freeing our hearts is something i like to share in on regularly, something we naturally do when we choose to really meet someone. Thank you Lyric and Hannah. Thank you Hemp for Victory; Karen and Mark. Our little corner in little Castle Rock is a delightful oasis, i'm grateful to be celebrating among yous :p Continuing to grow, we will continue to do our best to help build a better future for the world as a whole as well as ourselves, by being consciences about what we provide as self care practitioners and growing our community of great holistic practitioners in and around Castle Rock area. Rest assured we care. First vacation not totally surrounded or made based on work or education. Very blessed to have an uncle and aunt make Italy their last home, making my nights over of no expense and most meals the same. The main cost was in flight, not bad ♡
While away i'm able to collect thoughts and relax my hands. We're off the tourist trail so it an excellent reprieve from an otherwise very social world. On our outings my aunt is well versed in the history of the land, so i'm also given the gift of a great tour guide. Loving this centuries old landscapes of building. I'm finding it interesting how many fun things that line up with the brand that True Appearances is building on. Bring a bit of the classic and traditional ideas into a modern and eco sustainable business. Let's lean from history, grow in our passions and bring our best to the future at hand. Thankful for so very much but specifically the gift of travel and renewal, here is to a wonderful and prosperous 2018 and beyond 💖🎉🐾 Stress-less, just flows. The waves of responsibility feel over-taking. Here I be, having done a lot to build this salon backed by a good-hearted idea. It's still in build mode, which at this point feels scary, I'm making it work but would love a great deal more of some good help... So today I discovered that my site can have malware from comments left on the blog. I also had no idea how many comments were here... which I deleted all of... not thinking some might be authentic :( Anywho, I still love doing hair art through hair care, just want to find more of my crew. So much good unused space.
Is Peace Love and Happiness, it's king is health, queen is kindness, our prince is honor, the princess is beauty. Knights are morality and the people are our equals.
What we do as stylist directly affects the people we do hair for. It would seem that asking for our hair the way we want it would be simple. As simple as our desire is our ability to convey it may be very complex. Here in lies communication, the great tool. Education lefts us up and communication is the conduit for education. Communications also aids in peace making. I would like to bring to the table of beauty and identity an open communication that builds confidence with understanding. I feel that helping everyone understand how things work can help things to work with more ease. Having an understanding of the mechanics involved also allows for appreciation of the result.
As a haircare professional I am given many chances to hear about others careers and livings. It is then my job to build understanding for what is needed and desired. If I am not creating the desired look being informed about it is a favor to me. For then I can learn and rethink what is needed. However there are times when the desired look doesn't complement the one desiring it. I am the type to give an honest opinion, but self expression is a very personal thing. Feed back is beneficial and welcome. So my intention is to bring the best of me and help others to see their best, to help them be their best. not just in anyway…. the way in which i mean is through a creative self that can be conscience of their kindness. To know their personal power. the way in which i practice this is through my work in hairdressing. hair can be seen as vanity but it can be confidence and self expression… anyway it’s all about pursuing what one loves in life, follow your dream, i have a hard time thinking that anyone’s true dream would be destructive to any other being, i truly feel that when it’s someones desire to harm another that desire came from somewhere, not from the core of that original individual’s desire. So my push is to remind others that it is more then ok to get back to their dream from the beginning. that keeping pace with the status of current life maybe misleading and confusing.
For me personally i didn’t know that i was going to become a hair stylist, the thing i wished to be growing up was a famous artist…. as i approached adulthood (paying for living) i realized that i of course have to work but i knew for myself that just getting a job would kill me from the inside out…. so i picked a trade, that just so happened to involved everything i that i want to live for, unknowingly. Art, Science, Humanity, and being able to take care of myself. And now i’m a famous artist in a small town so to speak… now my dream is to still seek fame but not for the fame, for the change, for the expression of art, and love. Hair can be a guilty pleasure, or a shameless indulgence but it also doesn’t have to be either. Nor does it have to be a guise we hide behind. I currently work in a salon that has been wonderful to me however it’s short comings leave me wanting more, everyone i work with is very nice and i am lucky… that is not enough for me, it means more to be good in our doing then just nice. doing good is vague however it is all encompassing, and what i mean by that is it is nice to give someone their favorite drink let’s say diet coke (or pepsi) yet it is not good. i say not good because there is nothing redeeming about what it does to one’s health/well being. it doesn’t help with weight-loss, thirst or true pleasure… or hair and what one can express through hair, therefore identity. in that it seems nice to provide one with their favorite drink but it does no good, when one could show someone a different option that would be good and still be nice. I may not ever be more then Castle Rock famous but that doesn’t i’m not going to keep trying…. a great therapy in hot and cold. i live in dry, high castle rock colorado…. moisture is lacking to say the least. i find that using hot water to relax is excellent but when drying from that heat one is left more dry then before the relaxing heat. lotions are great and all but that can get costly when so much is need to have hydrated skin…. my findings are that a cold rinse minimizes the need for so much lotion, and it actually feels very good though it is shocking so to say. i have been doing a cold water rinse for more then a few years now and it does get easier. it also seems to give me more energy, heat makes me sleepy (relaxed) and i love it for that, but when getting the day started i really would rather be awake, and if i am not awake for work i am not able to do my best. in short hot/cold therapy is a great inexpensive way to hydrate skin and promote energy. i’ve read that it is also good for circulation
